You really can't beat the classic crispness of black and white. These two colours just go with any other colour in a complimentary way and don't try to compete or overshadow.
This button was first made for the fashion house of Chanel, Paris in 1946. It's life started out of one of three buttons down the front of a tailored jacket, with a cinched in waist and a peplum hemline. The classic ladies power suit! *It's important to note that this button does have some very slight signs of it's past life. There are 2 very tiny scuff marks in the outer white edge of the button. Personally, I love these blemishes sometimes found in old things. I have tried to capture these marks in the close up images.
I wonder where this button has been worn? Who was the original owner? The imagination can just run wild.
I just love the fact that this piece can be worn in a corporate office during the day & then take you through to the theatre at night and then look just as in place with a woollen jumper and a pair of comfy jeans for the weekend.
I have hand crafted the simple sterling silver setting and just added a small, fancy wire bezel edge. As Coco Chanel is all about pearls, I wanted to add something different to this charm. I managed to find some gorgeous vintage baroque pearls that compliment this button charm so well.
The baroque pearl bracelet is made in a stretch style, so it will fit most wrists comfortably.
As with all Porsha Bella Jewellery, this piece has been hand crafted using traditional Gold/Silversmith techniques, genuine materials & precious metals. This is not costume jewellery, this is a piece of fine jewellery designed to last you a lifetime.
Your jewellery journey begins with a piece of hand crafted wearable history by Porsha Bella Jewellery.
