Isn't this early 1900's Victorian era button, just perfect as a statement making cocktail ring?
I bought this button from a lady who was a seamstress in Paris in the 1940's. She told me that often times the fashion house she worked for would give the staff buttons and fabric that was classed as old stock.
She believed the button to be from the 1920's to 1930's, and from her fashion knowledge, she said it would have undoubtedly been used as the high collar, statement fastener on a woollen coat.
I set this button in solid recycled Sterling silver so that the black & gold floral design really stood out. The gold floral design is raised and sparkles beautifully in the light.
Due to the size of the button, I have set it on a shank/band of 13mm wide solid Sterling silver.
The versatility of this ring means I can see it teamed beautifully with the classic "Little Black Dress" or an elegant addition to jeans, boots and a crisp white linen shirt.
I can guarantee, you will never see another one of these rings. It really is a one of a kind.
