Doesn’t this fun Vintage Chanel Button just scream 1960’s!
It’s made from acrylic, coloured resin and of course, glitter. This button was one of 5 once worn on a woollen cape coat. These cape coats were very popular in
France during the late 1950’s through to the mid 1960’s. I managed to get hold of 2 of the 5 buttons, as the remainder were in terrible condition, as was the coat unfortunately.
The button is white with the centre double C’s being raised, so there is a 3 dimensional look which is made more obvious be the lovely marine blue background surrounding those iconic double C’s. Then the outer edge has had a sprinkling of silver glitter, which really does sparkle subtly when the light hits it.
I have set this button in solid sterling silver, with a lovely thin edge of silver showing around the face of the button. I made sure I crafted a larger bail so that you can add this pendant to your existing necklaces. As you can see by the pictures, it goes wonderfully with gold, silver and even pearls.
*Please note:- This piece consists of the pendant ONLY. Necklaces shown are prop’s and do not come with the purchase of this pendant. But I would love to work with you to hand craft a sterling silver linked necklace if you need one to go with it.
