Dramatic black, gold and silver is exactly what this vintage Chanel button bracelet brings to your wrist. It is a bold statement piece that exudes timeless Parisian style and is perfect for anyone who loves luxury with an edge.

Provenance

This vintage Chanel button dates back to the late 1950s and was originally worn on a Chanel dress with a slim waistband belt and a boat neckline. The dress was buttoned down to the waist and this is one of those iconic buttons. While the original colour of the dress remains a mystery, it is fun to imagine it was black, classic and elegant, perfectly in keeping with Chanel’s signature style.

This button comes from my supplier in Paris, whose mother’s button collection is extensive, meticulously documented and beautifully preserved. We are fortunate to continue the story of these vintage treasures.

The Bracelet

The button wanted to be part of something big and bold, so I hand crafted a solid Sterling Silver linked bracelet that allows the button to hang like a charm. Each link is skilfully hard silver soldered closed, reflecting the high quality of the Porsha Bella range. The central link is subtly flattened, creating a focal point that draws the eye once you notice it.

The closure is a fob, making it easy to put on and take off, though you may never want to remove it. The button itself features black enamel with gold toned double C’s, combining elegance and drama in one striking design.

This is a heavy, solid bracelet designed to make a statement. It measures 18 centimetres or 7 inches in length, perfect for wearing alone or layering with other pieces for a truly sophisticated look.

While the jewellery itself is professionally handcrafted from solid precious metals using traditional goldsmith techniques, designed to last a lifetime, the historic buttons, pearls, and crystals within these designs are inherently more fragile. Their age and patina are what make them so special.
To preserve your piece, please avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, perfume, or impact. Treat it gently, and it will bring you many years of beauty and admiration.

As each piece is entirely handmade and one of a kind, I’m unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or replacements for changes of mind, or for age related wear such as button cracking, crystal or pearl loss, or plating lift that may occur over time.
