A Vintage Louis Vuitton Tag with Real History

Imagine how many times this tag has been touched throughout its lifetime. Though it has been thoroughly disinfected, cleaned and polished, you can still see tiny marks in the white enamel that quietly reflect its years of use. This authentic Louis Vuitton zipper tag came to me through my Parisian contact who attends the major French designer auctions. He explained that the original handbag had seen far better days, and the only pieces worth saving were the hardware elements, including this tag.

A Classic LV Treasure from the Late 1980s

Originally the main opening zipper tag on a white and silver Louis Vuitton tote from the late 1980s, this piece carries both charm and character. The tag is double sided, and instead of covering the back with silver, I created a reverse setting that allows both sides to remain visible. While the feature is purely aesthetic, it makes the pendant wonderfully unique and full of interest.

Designed with Shape, Balance and Wearability in Mind

I adore the shape of this tag. It hangs beautifully and has a pleasing size that feels substantial without being bulky. With its white enamel and silver tones, it pairs effortlessly with a sterling silver or white gold chain. For something more unexpected, it would also look lovely on a colourful beaded necklace. The bail opening is generous enough to allow smaller beads to pass through easily.
