Can you believe that Venice played a role in this remarkable piece of fashion history? During a trip to the city of canals in the 1920s, Coco Chanel found herself struggling to elegantly step in and out of gondolas while wearing a skirt. Watching men move freely in their trousers, she decided it was time to design women’s trousers,  a bold, liberating idea that changed fashion forever.

These buttons, originally featured on the back pockets of that pioneering design, were part of Chanel’s revolutionary collection that celebrated independence, practicality, and effortless style.

A True Antique Chanel Treasure

Being from the 1920s, this makes the button itself an antique Chanel piece.  A tangible link to one of fashion’s most defining eras. Imagine the women of that time, newly empowered, embracing both elegance and freedom in their movements. This ring captures that spirit perfectly, timeless, feminine, and quietly defiant.

Handcrafted in Sterling Silver and Gold

The button has been set in a simple, elegant bezel of solid sterling silver, enhanced with delicate 9ct yellow gold accents around its edges, which echos the gold lettering of the button itself. The band features a subtle embossed pattern, giving the ring a soft, feminine feel that balances its strength of design.

Unlike costume jewellery, my jewellery is professionally hand crafted using traditional Goldsmith techniques and genuine, solid precious metals, so therefore you can wear *some of your Porsha Bella pieces whilst swimming, showering and washing.  These activities shouldn’t damage or discolour the precious metals.  I never take my jewellery off.  However, you may need to polish your jewellery a little more frequently if you want that shiny, brand new look.  If you treat your Porsha Bella creation, like the treasure of history it is, you should have an heirloom piece that will stand the test of time.  If you have any concerns about how to care for this piece, then please reach out to me and I can help you with tips on getting a long and happy wear life out of it.
