Antique French WW1 Medical Uniform Button Ring

My client has recently retired from an extraordinary career in nursing in Australia.  She has achieved so much in a lifetime dedicated to the healing of others.  She wanted to mark this pivotal moment in her life with something truly meaningful, so as soon as she saw the WW1 field nurses uniform buttons I had procured from my Antique Dealer and historian, she immediately contacted me to commission a ring.

These buttons are extraordinary.  Commission by the French Government to be worn on the field nurses military coats during WW1, I can only imagine the things these buttons have witnessed.  Perhaps from the depths of despair to the absolute highs of human survival.

This ring has been completely hand crafted in solid sterling silver and will be a treasured heirloom piece.  The button has survived for over 100 years & now it will continue to survive and bring pleasure.
