“Cecile” Chanel Antique Button Ring

Are you looking for an easy to wear, comfortable, everyday ring?  But you also want something really stylish, unique and high end.  Then your search is over!  Look no further than this beauty.

I’ve transformed this 1920’s antique Chanel button, into a really beautiful statement ring.  This button was originally worn on the sleeve cuff of a waist length Chanel woollen jacket.  So you’d actually be wearing a ring with a button that is over 100 years old.  Isn’t that amazing!  Who needs diamonds, when you could have a button that has probably been gracing outdoor Parisian cafes long before you were even born.  Imagine the things this button has seen and heard in it’s 100 years.

Because the button has a lovely dome to it, I chose to make a lower profile setting, so the button is not sitting too high on the finger line.  The setting is a clean, classic rub over setting, that allows the button to be the centre of attention on your finger.   The band/shank is really substantial.  It’s 10mm wide, so you have no fear of it bending or warping with everyday wear.  I’ve put a slight curve on the edge of the band, so that it’s super comfortable.

Hand crafted in solid sterling silver, I’ve finished it off with a high polish.

While the jewellery itself is professionally handcrafted from solid precious metals using traditional goldsmith techniques, designed to last a lifetime, the historic buttons, pearls, and crystals within these designs are inherently more fragile. Their age and patina are what make them so special.
To preserve your piece, please avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, perfume, or impact. Treat it gently, and it will bring you many years of beauty and admiration.

As each piece is entirely handmade and one of a kind, I’m unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or replacements for changes of mind, or for age related wear such as button cracking, crystal or pearl loss, or plating lift that may occur over time.
