“Manon” Vintage White Pearl Chanel Zipper Pull Pendant

Once part of a Chanel bomber jacket from the 1980s

This beautiful piece of Chanel history was once a zipper pull on a Chanel bomber jacket from the 1980s. I have transformed the original zipper pull into a substantial pendant, giving it a completely new life while preserving the details that made it special in the first place.

The white enamel centre carries the iconic interlocking CC, surrounded by not one but two rows of tiny seed pearls. There is something particularly beautiful about this version. The combination of white enamel and pearls gives it a softer, more luminous feel, while the sterling silver setting gives the piece weight and presence.

The original Chanel zipper pull is already beautiful, but viewed as jewellery, those tiny pearls really come into their own. Two rows frame the white enamel centre, creating a delicate border around the CC without taking away from the simplicity of the design.

It is a lovely example of what I enjoy most about working with vintage pieces. The history is already there. My job is to find a way to let you see it differently.

From garment to jewellery

Once this little piece belonged to a Chanel bomber jacket. Now it has become a pendant that can be worn every day, layered with other necklaces or simply allowed to take centre stage.

It has the unmistakable character of vintage Chanel, but it is no longer part of a jacket. It has a new purpose, a new story and a place in your jewellery collection.

Unlike costume jewellery, my jewellery is professionally hand crafted using traditional Goldsmith techniques and genuine, solid precious metals, so therefore you can wear *some of your Porsha Bella pieces whilst swimming, showering and washing.  These activities shouldn’t damage or discolour the precious metals.  I never take my jewellery off.  However, you may need to polish your jewellery a little more frequently if you want that shiny, brand new look.  If you treat your Porsha Bella creation, like the treasure of history it is, you should have an heirloom piece that will stand the test of time.  If you have any concerns about how to care for this piece, then please reach out to me and I can help you with tips on getting a long and happy wear life out of it.
