Introducing one of the most extraordinary additions to the Porsha Bella Jewellery collection, a pair of bold statement clip-on earrings crafted using incredibly rare 1940s vintage Chanel buttons. These remarkable buttons originally adorned the top collar of a Chanel woollen coat, designed in an era when every detail mattered.
In all my years of working with vintage designer buttons, I have only ever seen four of these exquisite examples. Their rarity and provenance make them a true collector’s piece and a wearable slice of couture history. The first and second of these buttons I managed to secure, were crafted into custom pendants for two of my dear clients. Now to be able to secure two more of these, some six years later, is just so exciting.
The Story Behind the 1940s Chanel Button.
Post World War II, Paris was a city rebuilding itself. The great fashion houses, including Chanel, were faced with the challenge of staying relevant in the depths of post war depression. Out of this hardship came some of the most ingenious and enduring designs ever created.
These buttons are a testament to that remarkable period. With their intricate detailing and unmistakable Chanel elegance, they reflect the bold spirit of creativity and reinvention that defined the fashion world in the late 1940s.

Unlike costume jewellery, my jewellery is professionally hand crafted using traditional Goldsmith techniques and genuine, solid precious metals, so therefore you can wear *some of your Porsha Bella pieces whilst swimming, showering and washing. These activities shouldn’t damage or discolour the precious metals. I never take my jewellery off. However, you may need to polish your jewellery a little more frequently if you want that shiny, brand new look. If you treat your Porsha Bella creation, like the treasure of history it is, you should have an heirloom piece that will stand the test of time.
