Dior With a Little More Drama

This striking bracelet began with an original vintage Dior button dating from the mid 1980s. It was once part of a Dior blouse, from an era of oversized collars, enormous shoulder pads and wonderfully extravagant fashion.

The blouse may have been very 1980s, but these buttons have aged rather beautifully.

The larger button features black enamel with elegant gold Dior lettering and is set into a solid sterling silver bezel. Against the deep black, the gold lettering has a wonderful richness that makes the Dior name instantly recognisable.

A Piece of Fashion History

There is something different about wearing a genuine vintage Dior button rather than something newly produced to look vintage.

This button was actually part of a Dior garment decades ago. It has already belonged somewhere. It already has a history.

I have given it another life as a charm bracelet, where it becomes something personal that you can wear and enjoy rather than something that simply sits in a collection.

A Little Sparkle

The Dior button is paired with faceted Swarovski crystal beads which catch the light beautifully as the bracelet moves.

The crystals do not overwhelm the vintage button. Instead, they create a lovely soft shimmer around it, bringing a little glamour to the deep black and gold.

It is elegant, sophisticated and just a little bit dramatic.

A Charm You Can Move

The Dior button charm is attached to the bracelet with a tiny sterling silver carabiner, allowing you to remove it whenever you wish.

You could add the Dior charm to a fine silver necklace, move it onto another bracelet or wear it somewhere completely different.
