The fabric’s used where not the only bright thing, the buttons were also produced in every colour of the rainbow and were matched with contrasting fabric colours to create the maximum colour impact.
This button is one of those used during this period in history. It has now been transformed into a one of a kind pendant. I have bezel set the button in solid sterling silver, but I have also added a 3 dimensional leaf edge to the setting. A bee needs a bit of foliage, plus it adds something a little more unique to the button, so as to really make this a statement pendant.
This piece has been completely hand crafted using only traditional Goldsmith techniques to create a fine piece of jewellery, you will be happy to pass down to your daughter or grand-daughter.
I have added a sterling silver full swivel attachable clasp so that you are not limited to how you want to wear this piece. You can attach it to red beads, pearls, gold or silver necklaces to really liven up your existing jewellery.
