Vintage Chanel Elegance Reimagined

These exquisite earrings feature authentic vintage Chanel buttons from the late 1970s, once gracing a pure white linen jacket,  the very picture of understated Parisian luxury. The jacket was lightweight and elegant, worn by a woman who appreciated refinement over extravagance; the kind who would stroll along the Seine on cool spring mornings, linen collar upturned against a gentle breeze, a silk scarf at her throat, and these luminous buttons catching the soft Parisian light.

A Glowing Silver Luminosity

Each button showcases a mother of pearl inspired resin background that shimmers with depth and softness. The raised interlocking Chanel Cs in silver are delicately accented with tiny sparkling crystals and tipped with white enamel, creating a gentle play between pearl and silver tones. The overall effect is not stark white, but rather a subtle, glowing silver. Elegant, timeless, and effortlessly chic. To complement this, I’ve set the buttons in solid sterling silver, enhancing their natural radiance without detracting from their vintage allure. The hooks too are handcrafted from sterling silver, completing the buttons with simplicity.

Truly One of a Kind

While they may appear identical, each button is fractionally different in size, which is not at all detectable by the eye, but is a charming nod to the craftsmanship of the era. In the late 1970s, machine production was just beginning to replace traditional handmade methods, and perfection was still beautifully imperfect.  The problem it poses for me is that I needed to make each silver setting to fit its unique button.   A small but meaningful tribute to the artistry of both past and present craftsmanship.

Please note, all buttons used in my creations are antique, vintage, or second hand, and will naturally show signs of their previous lives.  Such as gentle surface marks, tiny dents, enamel wear, or soft tarnishing.
Each button is carefully tested and securely set, but as these treasures can be well over a century old, they remain delicate and should be treated with the same care as any fine antique.

While the jewellery itself is professionally handcrafted from solid precious metals using traditional goldsmith techniques, designed to last a lifetime, the historic buttons, pearls, and crystals within these designs are inherently more fragile. Their age and patina are what make them so special.
To preserve your piece, please avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, perfume, or impact. Treat it gently, and it will bring you many years of beauty and admiration.

As each piece is entirely handmade and one of a kind, I’m unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or replacements for changes of mind, or for age related wear such as button cracking, crystal or pearl loss, or plating lift that may occur over time.
