“Claudia” Vintage Chanel Lips Brooch

A Little Parisian Mischief

Some pieces simply make you smile, and this is certainly one of them.

This striking brooch began life as the zipper pull from an authentic early 2000s Chanel tote bag. Rescued from one of Paris’ famous fashion auctions, it was one of two matching zipper pulls that immediately stole my heart. My contact in Paris knows my taste so well after nearly 10 years working together,  that he bid on them knowing there was very little chance I’d ever turn them down.

Playful Meets Elegant

Only Chanel could take its iconic interlocking CC logo, add a pair of bright red lips and still make it look effortlessly sophisticated.

There is a lovely sense of fun to this design, yet it never feels overdone. Instead, it has that unmistakable Chanel class and style that completely avoids looking tacky.

I can so easily see this pinned to a linen jacket, winter coat, scarf, a flowing summer frock or even your favourite handbag, this is one of those pieces that simply refuses to go unnoticed.

A Wonderful Piece of Chanel History

Rather than allowing these beautiful zipper pulls to disappear with the handbag they once belonged to, I’ve given them a completely new life.

It’s a little piece of Chanel history that now gets to continue its story with someone who appreciates beautiful craftsmanship and timeless design.

Designed To Be Worn

Once the zipper pull was carefully removed from its original handbag ( the tote bag had terrible water damage),  I handcrafted a custom solid sterling silver setting designed specifically for this piece.

Unlike modern machine made components, authentic vintage Chanel pieces often vary ever so slightly in size and thickness. That means every setting I create is individually measured and carefully fitted to the unique contours of the original piece.

The brooch is completed with a premium sterling silver pin and a secure locking clasp, giving you complete confidence no matter how you choose to style it.

Unlike costume jewellery, my jewellery is professionally hand crafted using traditional Goldsmith techniques and genuine, solid precious metals, so therefore you can wear *some of your Porsha Bella pieces whilst swimming, showering and washing.  These activities shouldn’t damage or discolour the precious metals.  I never take my jewellery off.  However, you may need to polish your jewellery a little more frequently if you want that shiny, brand new look.  If you treat your Porsha Bella creation, like the treasure of history it is, you should have an heirloom piece that will stand the test of time.  If you have any concerns about how to care for this piece, then please reach out to me and I can help you with tips on getting a long and happy wear life out of it.
