An Iconic Louis Vuitton Brown, Reimagined

There are certain colours in fashion that become instantly recognisable. Chanel has its black and white. Tiffany has its blue. And Louis Vuitton has its iconic warm, rich brown.

This vintage Louis Vuitton zipper pull began life on a purse in the 1990s, carrying that instantly recognisable LV monogram in the deep brown shade that has become synonymous with the house.

I love the idea of taking something so familiar and giving it an entirely new life. This original Louis Vuitton piece has been transformed into the centrepiece of a beautiful charm bracelet, permanently set in solid sterling silver and surrounded by faceted Swarovski crystals in a sophisticated smoky taupe.

Double Sided, Just As It Should Be

One of the things I particularly love about this vintage LV tag is that it is beautiful from both sides.

I’ve set the charm using what is known as a “reverse setting”, a technique that allows both sides of the original tag to remain equally visible. There is no front or back to worry about, no matter how the bracelet moves around your wrist. You will always see the beautiful brown LV tag, whichever way it happens to fall.

The charm is permanently fixed to the bracelet, nestled amongst the Swarovski crystals, so it stays exactly where it belongs while both sides remain on display.

Brown, But Make It Sparkle

I wanted the beads to complement the unmistakable brown of the Louis Vuitton charm without competing with it, and these Swarovski crystals were the perfect choice.

Their soft smoky taupe colouring sits beautifully alongside the rich brown of the vintage LV piece, while their faceted surfaces catch and reflect the light with every movement of your wrist.

There is something rather lovely about the contrast. The LV charm is instantly recognisable and wonderfully understated, while the Swarovski crystals bring the sparkle.

Together, they create a bracelet that feels both luxurious and completely wearable.

A Little Piece of Fashion History

Louis Vuitton was established in Paris in 1854 and has become one of the world’s most recognisable luxury fashion houses. Its distinctive brown monogram has become almost as iconic as the handbags and luggage it adorns.

This particular piece of that history began life as a Louis Vuitton zipper pull on a purse, circa 1990.

More than 30 years later, I’ve given it a completely new purpose.

The bracelet is strung on a durable stretch nylon bead cord, designed to fit most adult wrist sizes. Simply slide it on and off. No complicated clasps. No fuss. Just an effortless piece of wearable fashion history.

As with all Porsha Bella Jewellery, the original Louis Vuitton piece has been hand crafted using traditional Goldsmith techniques and permanently set in solid sterling silver.

It is a little piece of Louis Vuitton history, reimagined and handcrafted in my French workshop.

While the jewellery itself is professionally handcrafted from solid precious metals using traditional goldsmith techniques, designed to last a lifetime, the historic buttons, pearls, and crystals within these designs are inherently more fragile. Their age and patina are what make them so special.
To preserve your piece, please avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, perfume, or impact. Treat it gently, and it will bring you many years of beauty and admiration.

As each piece is entirely handmade and one of a kind, I’m unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or replacements for changes of mind, or for age related wear such as button cracking, crystal or pearl loss, or plating lift that may occur over time.
