“Jade” Gold Chanel Button Ring

Provenance

This remarkable button comes from the Coco Chanel winter 1945–46 collection, originally adorning the vibrant wool coats released just after the end of the Second World War. Chanel wanted to bring colour and optimism back to a city still recovering from devastation, and rich, bold tones defined that historic season.

The Button

Large gold and silver toned buttons were a signature feature on coats, jackets and tailored trousers during this collection. This particular button carries a beautifully textured background, contrasted with the smooth, polished Chanel insignia that sits proudly at its centre. It has presence, history and unmistakable Chanel character.

The Ring

I have hand set this button into a solid, weighty Sterling Silver setting, designed with a slightly lower profile for everyday comfort. To enhance the boldness of the piece, I have added an offset bezel set lab created diamond, giving a subtle yet captivating sparkle. The shank is thoughtfully shaped so it feels comfortable and easy to wear throughout the day.

Uniqueness

This ring is created to be seen. It is a true statement piece, crafted from an authentic vintage designer button and transformed using traditional Goldsmith techniques in my French atelier. There is only one in existence and it is designed to be treasured for generations.

Each button is carefully tested and securely set, but as these treasures can be well over a century old, they remain delicate and should be treated with the same care as any fine antique.

While the jewellery itself is professionally handcrafted from solid precious metals using traditional goldsmith techniques, designed to last a lifetime, the historic buttons, pearls, and crystals within these designs are inherently more fragile. Their age and patina are what make them so special.
To preserve your piece, please avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, perfume, or impact. Treat it gently, and it will bring you many years of beauty and admiration.

As each piece is entirely handmade and one of a kind, I’m unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or replacements for changes of mind, or for age related wear such as button cracking, crystal or pearl loss, or plating lift that may occur over time.
