A Feminine Piece of Chanel History.

There is something about this pendant that feels unmistakably Chanel. Perhaps it’s the balance of strength and femininity that the House of Chanel mastered so effortlessly during the mid 1980s. At a time when women were embracing tailoring, confidence and independence, Chanel took the traditionally masculine bomber jacket and transformed it into something undeniably elegant. Cropped silhouettes, luxurious embellishments, crystals and jewel toned accents softened the structure and gave these jackets their iconic Parisian glamour.

This extraordinary piece began its life as the original zipper pull from one of those Chanel bomber jackets. Not a reproduction, not inspired by… but the genuine zipper pull itself. A small but important detail from a remarkable moment in fashion history. The sort of detail that would have caught the light as a woman moved through Paris in the 1980s, effortlessly elegant and entirely self assured.

Rare Emerald Detail with Symbolic Meaning.

Unlike the pearl version, this one has been adorned with tiny lab created emeralds, giving the pendant an entirely different personality. Rich green flashes of colour bring a sense of depth, luxury and rarity to the piece, while beautifully complementing the warm gold tones of the original Chanel pull.

Emeralds have long been associated with love, wisdom, renewal and prosperity. Known as the birthstone of May, they have been treasured by royalty and high society for centuries, symbolising elegance, intuition and feminine power. Their vivid green colour feels timeless against the vintage Chanel detailing, making this pendant feel both striking and deeply sophisticated.

Fine Jewellery Craftsmanship in Sterling Silver and Gold.

This pendant has been entirely handcrafted in solid sterling silver using a wide, heavy bezel setting, carefully shaped to protect the original zipper pull while revealing every beautiful detail around its edge. Great care was taken not to cover the intricate Chanel detailing, allowing the original craftsmanship to remain fully visible and celebrated.

To elevate the design even further, I added a solid 9ct yellow gold band around the base of the teardrop setting. This subtle addition brings warmth and richness to the piece, tying beautifully into the original gold tone of the Chanel pull itself.

The pendant is finished with a luxurious 18ct yellow gold plated carabiner style bail, set with diamond cut crystals for exceptional sparkle. Not only does this create a striking focal point, but it perfectly echoes the glamour and opulence of the original Chanel design language from the 1980s.
