This piece began life as the zipper pull on a Chanel bomber jacket from the 1980s. Not just any jacket, but one chosen by a woman who understood fashion in that moment. The 80s in Paris brought a shift. Women were mixing elegance with edge, tailoring with ease. A bomber jacket like this would have been styled deliberately, not casually, layered over silk, worn with confidence.

Where Chanel’s classic codes meet a bolder era

You can see that tension in the design itself. The pearls speak directly to Coco Chanel’s enduring signature, while the surrounding crystals reflect the influence of Karl Lagerfeld, who brought a sharper, more expressive energy to the house during that time. Set against black enamel, it has presence without needing to be overstated.
