The button I almost made into a charm
This little vintage button was originally part of the same 1970s black blouse as the earrings, and when I first began working with these buttons, I imagined turning it into a button charm.
But then I started looking at it differently.
And suddenly I could see it as something much more delicate.
A little pendant.
And I have to say, I absolutely love it.
A tiny starburst of vintage glamour
The silver toned vintage button features the same beautiful radiating starburst design as the earrings, but as a stand alone pendant, it really seems to take on a life all of it’s own.
I’ve set it in solid sterling silver and added a highly polished bezel edge, which frames the button beautifully and helps emphasise that wonderful starburst pattern.
It’s delicate.
It’s distinctive.
And it has just enough presence to be noticed without overwhelming what you’re wearing.
The perfect little necklace
I’ve paired the pendant with a delicate sterling silver necklace that comes with it, creating a beautifully understated piece that can be worn every day.
Wear it with a simple T-shirt and jeans.
Layer it with your favourite necklaces.
Or let it add a little unexpected sparkle to an evening outfit.
It’s one of those wonderfully versatile pieces that you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again.
But here’s the clever bit…
The pendant has a carabiner style bail, which means you can also remove it from the necklace and attach it to your favourite bracelet.
So, yes, it can be a pendant.
But it can also become a charm.
I love jewellery that gives you options, and this little piece has more versatility than you might expect from something so delicate.
Wear it alone or make it a set
And of course, you can wear it alongside the matching earrings.
I think the three pieces together are particularly beautiful. The earrings make more of a statement, while the pendant is delicate and understated, creating a lovely balance when worn as a complete set.
It would also make an incredibly special gift.
Perhaps the earrings for a daughter and the pendant for a granddaughter.
Or the complete set for someone who loves beautiful things with a story behind them.

Now for the legal stuff:-
Please note, all buttons used in my creations are antique, vintage, or second hand, and will naturally show signs of their previous lives. Such as gentle surface marks, tiny dents, enamel wear, or soft tarnishing.
Each button is carefully tested and securely set, but as these treasures can be well over a century old, they remain delicate and should be treated with the same care as any fine antique.
While the jewellery itself is professionally handcrafted from solid precious metals using traditional goldsmith techniques, designed to last a lifetime, the historic buttons, pearls, and crystals within these designs are inherently more fragile. Their age and patina are what make them so special.
To preserve your piece, please avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, perfume, or impact. Treat it gently, and it will bring you many years of beauty and admiration.
As each piece is entirely handmade and one of a kind, I’m unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or replacements for changes of mind, or for age related wear such as button cracking, crystal or pearl loss, or plating lift that may occur over time.
