In the 1960s, these luminous golden Chanel buttons were not tucked away quietly on the inside of a garment. They were designed to be seen.

Originally adorning a soft butter yellow, knee length woollen coat, these buttons would have caught the light as their wearer moved through the streets of Paris. Imagine the coat on a crisp autumn morning along the Left Bank. The gentle sound of heels on cobblestones. A café terrace warming up for the day. A woman fastening her coat with careful fingers before stepping out into the city.

These buttons were touched each morning before the day began. Fastened before walks through Parisian boulevards, afternoons spent browsing boutiques, and evenings returning home under the soft glow of street lamps.

They were small details, but details that completed the elegance of the coat. Little flashes of gold against the warmth of butter yellow wool.

Decades later, those same buttons have been given a new life.

To preserve your piece, please avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, perfume, or impact. Treat it gently, and it will bring you many years of beauty and admiration.
