Imagine being the custodian of this 1960’s vintage Chanel button. The 1960’s saw the re-birth of the house of Chanel, as Coco stopped all production during WW2 and for a little while after, due to supply shortages and her infamous public affair with a Nazi solider.
Boy oh boy did she come back swinging! The 1960’s saw the launch of her famous woman’s suit. It was bold and confident and was a direct attempt to knock Christian Dior’s woman’s suit, off of the fashion top step.
Well this button was actually from one of those 1960’s suit jackets. Yes, the very same suit jacket that re-launched the house of Chanel, after the end of the war.
Now you can share in this button’s transformation, from old and discarded, to new and fabulous! The button is made of metal and the white enamel front, features Chanel’s famous double C’s in a gold guild. Mind you, the gold is slightly worn in some areas, but nothing that takes away from it’s beauty.
I have hand crafted the solid sterling silver setting, to perfectly suit this history making button. I’ve added a lovely beaded edge around the button and also for that touch of sparkle and glamour, I’ve bezel set a lovely pale pink, lab created diamond.
Keep this for special occasions, or wear it everyday. You really can’t go wrong.
