From the Cuffs of a Statement Suit

These earrings began their life on the turned cuffs of a 1967 Yves Saint Laurent pant suit.  A detail often overlooked, but never accidental.

The Woman Who Wore It

In the late 1960s, Saint Laurent was redefining how women dressed.  His tailoring borrowed from traditional menswear, yet remained undeniably feminine. A double-breasted, black pinstriped suit with cuffed sleeves would have been worn by a woman with presence. Someone confident enough to step outside expectation and into something sharper, more deliberate.

Small Details, Strong Impact

Even the cuff buttons played their part.  Smaller in scale, but no less striking, these original buttons carry the same bold design language. Black enamel framing a soft grey centre, finished with the iconic YSL lettering. Graphic, balanced, and effortlessly recognisable.

Effortless to Wear

Now reimagined as earrings, they have been carefully set in solid sterling silver and finished with classic shepherd’s hooks, allowing for a beautiful, natural drop when worn.  They feel easy, but never ordinary.

Quiet Strength

There is a quiet strength to them.  The kind that doesn’t need to announce itself.

Unlike costume jewellery, my jewellery is professionally hand crafted using traditional Goldsmith techniques and genuine, solid precious metals, so therefore you can wear *some of your Porsha Bella pieces whilst swimming, showering and washing.  These activities shouldn’t damage or discolour the precious metals.  I never take my jewellery off.  However, you may need to polish your jewellery a little more frequently if you want that shiny, brand new look.  If you treat your Porsha Bella creation, like the treasure of history it is, you should have an heirloom piece that will stand the test of time.  If you have any concerns about how to care for this piece, then please reach out to me and I can help you with tips on getting a long and happy wear life out of it.
