A Button from a Parisian Power Suit

There is something unmistakable about a woman who chose to wear a sharply tailored Yves Saint Laurent suit in 1967.  This was not a passive era of fashion. This was the moment women began stepping into silhouettes that had long belonged to men, and doing so with purpose. A black pinstriped, double breasted suit with turned cuffs was not just clothing, it was a statement. It spoke of independence, of confidence, of a woman entirely at ease being seen.

Unmistakably YSL

The design itself is unmistakably YSL.  Bold, graphic, and refined. The contrast of black enamel and soft grey centre, framed with the iconic lettering, feels as modern today as it would have then.

A Softening Detail

Set in solid sterling silver, the pendant has been elevated with two grey cultured pearls, placed either side of the bail.  A subtle detail that draws out the tone of the button’s centre and adds a softness to its otherwise strong presence.

Unlike costume jewellery, my jewellery is professionally hand crafted using traditional Goldsmith techniques and genuine, solid precious metals, so therefore you can wear *some of your Porsha Bella pieces whilst swimming, showering and washing.  These activities shouldn’t damage or discolour the precious metals.  I never take my jewellery off.  However, you may need to polish your jewellery a little more frequently if you want that shiny, brand new look.  If you treat your Porsha Bella creation, like the treasure of history it is, you should have an heirloom piece that will stand the test of time.  If you have any concerns about how to care for this piece, then please reach out to me and I can help you with tips on getting a long and happy wear life out of it.
