The French Antique Crown button I have used in this charm dates back to the early 1900’s. It has been hand pressed in solid brass, but has a lovely rose gold finish. The button even has the original makers marque displayed on the back. Antique buttons that still have their makers marque intact are becoming rarer and much more expensive. The details on the crown are so perfect. I am amazed by the general condition of this button considering it is over 100 years old. There are some small marks on the button surface that give away the true age of the button.
I have bezel set the button in genuine, solid Sterling Silver (925). I have also added a man made diamond in a rub over setting to add a little piece of sparkle to the charm. The charm is also removable because I have attached it a link on the bracelet with a lobster clasp, so you can wear the bangle bracelet with or without this beautiful charm. The bangle bracelet is 100% hand made in genuine, solid Sterling Silver (925). Each link has been hand soldered closed, except for the one safety link closest to the bangle end. The curved bangle is also hand made in heavy Sterling Silver (925) and sits really comfortably on the wrist line.
The links are a great combination of round wire links and square round wire links, which makes the bracelet really different and interesting. The idea of a bangle and a bracelet combined in one piece of jewellery is just so lovely and really easy to wear.
This piece is not too overpowering that it can’t be worn along side your other favourite wrist adornments, but it will also happily stand alone if you prefer.
The bangle bracelet total length is 7 3/4″ / 200mm.
