This striking pendant began life as a feature coat button from 1980s Chanel, a time when the house embraced bold, imaginative design under the direction of Karl Lagerfeld. During this era, buttons were no longer simply functional, they became miniature works of art, each one designed to elevate the garment it adorned.

And this one… is unlike anything I’ve seen before.

A Design That Breaks the Rules

At its centre stands a finely detailed elephant, framed by rich enamel work in deep green and burgundy tones. Above it, the iconic interlocking CC sits quietly, almost as if observing the scene below.

It’s unusual. It’s intriguing. It’s unmistakably Chanel, yet completely unexpected.

This is not one of the house’s well known motifs. There are no camellias, no lions, no obvious signatures. Instead, this button feels like a moment captured from a forgotten collection… something rare, perhaps even experimental.

And that is exactly what makes it so compelling.

Originally created as a feature button for a Chanel coat, this piece would have been designed to stand out….placed with intention, catching the eye, sparking curiosity.

Now, it has been carefully reimagined into a sterling silver pendant, finished with a substantial carabiner-style clasp that complements its weight and presence beautifully.

It doesn’t sit quietly.

Unlike costume jewellery, my jewellery is professionally hand crafted using traditional Goldsmith techniques and genuine, solid precious metals, so therefore you can wear *some of your Porsha Bella pieces whilst swimming, showering and washing.  These activities shouldn’t damage or discolour the precious metals.  I never take my jewellery off.  However, you may need to polish your jewellery a little more frequently if you want that shiny, brand new look.  If you treat your Porsha Bella creation, like the treasure of history it is, you should have an heirloom piece that will stand the test of time.  If you have any concerns about how to care for this piece, then please reach out to me and I can help you with tips on getting a long and happy wear life out of it.
