“Lilou” Prada Button Charm Bracelet

Are you looking for a designer button that really is completely unique?  Well, this button is unlike any other designer button I’ve used in the past.  First of all, it’s the only Prada button I have used and secondly, it was actually from a mens suit worn in the 1960’s.  So that makes this piece really unique.

So with that in mind, I really wanted to create a link for the bracelet unlike any I have crafted before.  I wanted a link that had feminine curves, but I also felt it needed to incorporate strong, more masculine lines.  So the teardrop link and the flat bars that join them become my blending of the two.

As the button was originally worn by a man, I didn’t want any frills with the setting, so I designed a highly polished, plain, rub over setting.  The fob closure is also a call to it’s masculine past.  The Prada button charm dangles so perfectly from the fob closure.  It’s the perfect sized button to be a dangling charm.

This piece has been completely hand crafted, with all links being silver soldered closed to add to the strength and longevity of the piece.  There are no glues or craft shop bought blanks used in the setting.  It is all solid sterling silver, hand crafted, using traditional Goldsmith techniques.

Please note, all buttons used in my creations are antique, vintage, or second hand, and will naturally show signs of their previous lives.  Such as gentle surface marks, tiny dents, enamel wear, or soft tarnishing.
Each button is carefully tested and securely set, but as these treasures can be well over a century old, they remain delicate and should be treated with the same care as any fine antique.

While the jewellery itself is professionally handcrafted from solid precious metals using traditional goldsmith techniques, designed to last a lifetime, the historic buttons, pearls, and crystals within these designs are inherently more fragile. Their age and patina are what make them so special.
To preserve your piece, please avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, perfume, or impact. Treat it gently, and it will bring you many years of beauty and admiration.

As each piece is entirely handmade and one of a kind, I’m unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or replacements for changes of mind, or for age related wear such as button cracking, crystal or pearl loss, or plating lift that may occur over time.
